6 GPU Ethereum Mining Rig Guide / Low Budget

December 23rd, 2017
Ethereum mining are profitable these days many people are using different graphics cards for ethereum mining but there is some huge investment on build your own Ethereum Mining Rig, so i decide to make a short guide, which will helps you to build cheap ethereum mining rig with less budget. Once this rig is fully assembled and configure properly, it is capable of generating around 3000$ yearly (Estimated).

So Let’s started, below following hardware’s you need to purchase.

1- Motherboard:

As we are building 6 GPU mining rig so we need a motherboard which is supported 6 GPU’s. I’m using AsRock H81 Pro BTC Motherboard because this board have capability to run 6 GPU’s and very power full for mining and actually this motherboard is made for mining. So this is cheap and best motherboard for ethereum mining rig. It will cost you around 125$.
You can get this motherboard from amazon with free shipping here.

2- Processor (CPU):

You also need processor to boot your system without this you can’t boot your system. So as we know we are using AsRock H81 Pro BTC Motherboard with this motherboard i will recommend you to buy Intel Celeron G1840 Processor this will cost you around $69 something.
You can get this processor from amazon with free shipping from here.

3- Graphics Cards:

The main part of any mining rig is graphic cards better you have better you able to earn. We need to choose best graphic cards which is produce high hash rates and consume low electricity.
I’m using GTX 1070, this card generating almost 30 Mh/s of mining speed and consume only 100 to 110 watts. So I’m using this graphic cards because it’s working very well for me, but you can also check other graphic cards which are working nicely for ethereum mining rig. Like RX 580, RX 480 and RX470! These graphics cards are producing 25 – 27 Mh/s and electricity consumes 135w. You can also check my Best Graphics Cards For Mining article. So I’m using GTX 1070 graphic cards and it is totally up to you how much graphic cards you want to use on your ethereum mining rig. So these cards consumes 100 watts of electricity and they will produce 30 Mh/s of mining speed and it will cost you around $400 each graphics card.
You can get this graphic cards with free shipping from here.

Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable

January 20th, 2017

Microsoft Visual C++ is a integrated development environment (IDE) used to create Windows applications in the C, C++, and C++/CLI programming languages. It was originally a standalone product, but is now included as part of Microsoft Visual Studio. It offers developers a single application in which they can write, edit, test, and debug their code. The programming environment includes access to a lot of shared code libraries, which let developers use already-developed code for specific procedures instead of having to write their own from scratch. That shared code takes the form of dynamic link libraries (DLLs), a term most Windows users have come across at some point or other.

When it comes time to deploy their software to users, developers have a choice to make. They can bundle those DLLs into the installation of their application, or they can rely on a standard distributable package of shared code. Most choose the latter, and that package is known as a Visual C++ Redistributable. There are several advantages to using a redistributable. The packages are made available by Microsoft, who also tests and updates them with bug and security fixes. Redistributables also offer a single installation on a user’s computer that multiple programs can use at the same time.

Why Are So Many Installed on MY PC?

I installed a fresh version of Windows 10 on a new PC a little less than two months ago. As you can see in the picture above, I’ve already got four versions of the Visual C++ Redistributable on my system. On other systems, I’ve seen as many as twenty. So, how do they all they get there?

Protein music

February 2nd, 2015

from wiki

In Gödel, Escher, Bach, Douglas Hofstadter draws similarities and analogies between genes and music.[1] It even proposes that meaning is constructed in protein and in music.[2]

The ideas that supports the possibility of creating harmonic musics using this method are:

  • The repetition process governs both the musical composition and the DNA sequence construction.[3]
  • Pink noise (the correlation structure “1/f spectra”) have been found in both musical signals and DNA sequences.[4]
  • Models with duplication and mutation operations, such as the “expansion-modification model” are able to generate sequences with 1/f spectra.[5]
  • When DNA sequences are converted to music, it sounds musical.[6][7]
  • Human Genome Project has revealed similar genetic themes not only between species, but also between proteins.[8]

Musical renditions of DNA and proteins is not only a music composition method, but also a technique for studying genetic sequences. Music is a way of representing sequential relationships in a type of informational string to which the human ear is keenly attuned. The analytic and educational potential of using music to represent genetic patterns has been recognized from secondary school to university level

last weekend I wrote few scripts to convert protein sequence to some attractive sounds.

Re-wrap MTS to MP4

1. Download FFMBC, unzip it and find the bin folder.

2. Copy and paste it on to your desktop and rename it FFMBC.

3. Place your MTS file in this FFMBC directory.

3A. NOTE: FFMBC requires the Xvid codec to be already installed on your PC. If you don’t,  please download and install it from here.

4. Use Windows command prompt to navigate to this directory and copy and paste this command:

ffmbc -i input.mts -vcodec copy -acodec aac -ab 512k -strict experimental output.mp4

Change “input.mts” in the above string to the file name of your MTS file and change “output.mp4” to the name of the file you want as your converted file.

Your MTS file will be re-wrapped to an mp4 file which will be created in the same FFMBC folder.

If you are not confident navigating with the Windows command prompt use this method:

This Video tutorial shows a method (outlined below) of using a command line string without having to navigate in Windows Command Prompt.

1. Create a new text file and copy and paste this command string into it:

ffmbc -i input.mts -vcodec copy -acodec aac -ab 256k -strict experimental output.mp4

2. Change “input.mts” in the above string to the file name of your MTS file and change “output.mp4” to the name of the file you want as your converted file.

In this example I have a file named tom.mts and I want the converted file to be named tom.mp4

The command string I would use would be:

ffmbc -i tom.mts -vcodec copy -acodec aac -ab 256k -strict experimental tom.mp4

3. Save the text file with the file name AVCHD_2_MP4.txt, close the file, and rename the file extension from .txt to .bat

4. Place the bat file in the FFMBC directory along with your MTS file. Double click on the bat file and the black command prompt window will appear showing the details of your file conversion. The newly converted file will appear in the same folder when it completes.

Re-wrap MTS to MOV

MTS files can be re-wrapped to a mov container. At the moment this has to be done in two stages:

1. re-wrap the MTS video stream to a mov file
2. transcode the ac3 audio stream to uncompressed wav file

Import the mov file and wav files into Lightworks separately.

To re-wrap the video stream to mov use:

ffmbc -i input.mts -vcodec copy -an

And to transcode from AC3 to wav use:

ffmbc -i input.mts -vn -acodec pcm_s16le output.wav

Batch script for converting from MTS to MP4

This is a script for re-wrapping a batch of files from MTS for mp4.

Put ffmbc exe file in C:\Program Files\ffmbc\ directory.

Brief instructions: be sure that you have set an absolute path to the exe file (i.e. not in the same directory as the mts, otherwise you will have to change it every other time..), then

1. copy and paste the following code in a text file
2. rename the .txt to .bat as you usually do
3. keep it somewhere: you won’t need to repeat 1 & 2
4. put the MTS file you want to re-wrap in an empty directory as you always do
5. make a copy and paste of the .bat and put it in the same directory as the MTS file.
6. Double click on the .bat to execute it.

expected results:
– all your mts in a mts\ subdirectory
– all yout mp4 in a mp4\ subdirectory

DO (
md mts
md mp4

for %%f IN (*.mts) DO (
"C:\Program Files\ffmbc\ffmbc.exe" -i %%f -vcodec copy -acodec aac -strict experimental -ab 512k %%~nf.mp4

DO (
move *.mp4 "mp4\"
move *.mts "mts\"

Installing AMP (Apache/MySQL/PHP) on Windows is not a difficult task, however, it is not that straight forward, either.

After all the steps of this tutorial, we’ll be able to host our web site on our PC running Windows. We can display our php page by typing URL like into the browser. We are hosting our web site! We also will have access to MySQL database.

  1. Go to Apache Http Server 2.2.25
    Click Binary.
    Then, download -(MSI Installer): httpd-2.2.25-win32-x86-openssl-0.9.8y.msi

  1. PHP 5.4.27
    VC9 x86 Thread Safe (2014-Apr-03 06:32:22):
We may also need Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) for this PHP and Apache combination.

  1. MySQL 5.1.50

  1. Run the Apache installer package, “httpd-2.2.25-win32-x86-no_ssl.msi”
  1. Click “Next”.apache installer
  1. In the “Server Information” dialog box, enter localhost (without the quotes) for the Network Domain as well as for the Server Name and whatever email address we wish for the “Administrator’s Email Address” field.
The installer uses the information we enter to create a default Apache configuration file for us. We can always go back and manually change these values in our configuration file if we change our mind later.
Leave the default setting of for All Users, on Port 80, as a Service as it is. Click “Next” when we’re done.Server Infomation
  1. When asked about the Setup Type, select “Typical” and click “Next”.Typical Setup
  1. In the Destination Folder dialog, allow the installer to install to the default folder. So, just click “Next”Destination Folder
  1. Finally click the “Install” button to allow the installer to set up Apache.Apache Install ButtonWhen it is done, click the “Finish” button.

The Most Popular Résumé in the World

March 7th, 2013

Philippe Dubost turned himself into an Amazon product page that got a million page views.

Aspiring job applicants are advised to sell themselves, but few have ever taken that to heart in the way that Philippe Dubost did a couple of months ago.

He took his résumé and turned it into a website that looked exactly like an Amazon product page. Under “product details” he listed the languages he speaks (English, French, and Spanish), his aptitudes, such as his programming skills, and the three degrees he has, including his master’s in management from Toulouse Business School and an MBA from the University of Dayton here in the U.S.

Under “shipping” he wrote, “This item is available for shipping anywhere in the world.” And for “average customer review,” he gave himself five stars and linked to a detailed listing of his past employment positions, just like a résumé would. There were some personal details: The “product dimensions” was his height, 186 centimeters, and he listed his best marathon time, 3 hours, 22 minutes. One touch I particularly liked was: “Only one left in stock—order soon.”

It was more than an idle exercise in creativity; the work he sought was as a Web product manager, so he was proving that he could sell anything on the Web—including himself. The idea, in other words, was to get the world’s attention, and it did: millions of page views, tens of thousands of Facebook “likes,” a feature story on, the Huffington Post, Time magazine, Slate, and all over the world, including Batangas Today, in the Philippines.

I thought we’d hear from the man himself—how he did it, how it’s working out, and what advice he has for the rest of us.

Convert DivX to XviD

January 16th, 2013

The  SONY Bravia TVs with Internet TV like Sony BRAVIA 55″ 1080p 120Hz LED Smart TV (KDL55EX645) don’t play movies encoded with DivX codecs.

But you have a chance to play your home movies coded with DivX codec with Bravia  if you convert it from DivX to XviD . For that you can  use DivX2XviD application (for Windows) and change your movies from unsupported DivX  to supported  XviD.

The DivX2XviD application allows you to change the FourCC code in an AVI file from DivX to XviD. The FourCC code is the identification key used by the AVI format to inform itself of which decoder to use for the AVI file playback.

Download Divx2XviD (for Windows)
